Saints lucky,Colts solid, both teams still perfect at 12-0
Saints lucky,Colts solid, both teams still perfect at 12-0 The Saints miracularsly kept their undefeafed season alive with a 33-30 overtime win at Washington on Sunday.

Two huge mistakes ended in positive plays for New Orleans,Redskins’kicker Shaun Shuisam missed a 23-yard field goal with 1:53 left in the game when Washington led 30-23 and could have put it out of reach. Finally,as Washington got the ball first in overtime, the Saints got it back at the Redskins 37,on a reviewed play, when Mike Sellers fumbled after making a catch and being upended by Chris Mc Allister.

Saints QB Drew Brees marched to Washington’s 1 in seven plays, setting up Garrett Hartley’s 18-yard winning field goal.

Brees had tied the game on a 5-play-80-yard drive in 33 seconds after Shuisam missed the chip shot from23 yards.

“I don’t know about the voodoo, but I definitly believe in destiny”said Drew Brees “I believe in karma, and what goes around comes around. We’ve been on the over side of this deal probably too many times, and maybe it’s our time, that we start catching some of the breaks.”

They sure caught a few huge breaks in this game, allowing them to stay unbeaten and to clinch the NFC South title.

The Colts at home, meanwhile, were all business in the 27-17 win over the Titans (5-7) to stay undefeated at 12-0.Peyton Manning made no mistakes and led Indanapolis to their 21st consecutive regular season victory to tie the NFL’s record held by New England.

The Colts also extended their own NFL record of consecutive 12-win seasons to seven, and matched 1990s San Francisco 49ers for most wins in a decade at 113.

Indianapolis will have the opportunity to stand alone with the longest regular-season consecutive wins and the most wins in a decade,by beating Denver in Indianapolis on Sunday.

Against Tennesse the Colts led from start to finish as Manning took better care of the ball than he did the past few weeks,he was 24 of 37 for 270 yards,1 Td and NO INT.They reached halftime with a 24-10 lead, and then the defense went to work while Manning mounted time-consuming drives.

The Titans missed a few opportunies to keep the game closer, but at the end Vince Young took his first loss after winning 5 consecutive games since coming back as the starting QB.

It is the first time in the NFL that two teams are 12-0,there is a possibility that 2 undefeated teams, the Saints and the Colts, reach the Super Bowl with 18-0 records.

Wouldn’t that be something?
