The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Tees Off This Weekend

Location: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Monterey Peninsula C.C., & Spyglass Hill GC

Pebble Beach always provides some of the most entertaining golf on the tour and it usually has to do with the interesting layout of the land. One of golf’s most beautiful venues is the Pebble Beach Pro-Am along the Monterey Peninsula in Pebble Beach, California.

It is a big draw for fans because of the talented golfers that show up as well as the many notable celebrities. The schedule for this week includes practice days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Wednesday is Military Day, when the military and their families are guests. Starting Thursday through Saturday, all three courses will be used. The Pebble Beach Golf Links will be the only course used for Sunday’s final round.

Athletes always come scurrying out for this event. Actors like Bill Murray, Kevin Costner, Ray Romano, and NCIS: Los Angeles star Chris O’Donnell join in the festivities, as well as athletes from other sports such as professional surfer Kelly Slater and quarterbacks Drew Brees and Tony Romo. As far as the pro’s go,the field be will be led by the defending champion from a year ago.

Dustin Johnson won the event a year ago and loves this venue as he has two wins in three starts on this course. Phil Mickleson will be one of the big names to play in this event as Tiger Woods choose to play in another event, passing on Pebble Beach.

Some other lesser names that could make some noise in this event are Nick Watney, Tim Clark, Jhonny Vegas and Tommy Gainey.
