Tiger Woods announced break from PGA Tour
Tiger Woods announced break from PGA Tour After Tiger’s lone-car accident which sparked the scandal on his private life,Tiger Woods announced Friday evening that he will take an indefinite leave from the PGA Tour.
“I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children.I want to say to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask for forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.

I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What’s more important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

After much soul searching,I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf.I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father and person.

Again,I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.”

Tiger Woods, the world No1 golfer has 14 major tournament titles, he is chasing Jack Nicklaus’record 18 major titles. It looked that it was only a question of time before he would surpassed that number, but with this new break in his career (he was out for eight months for a knee injury in 2008) Nicklaus’s mark seems to be safer everyday.

There is no telling when Tiger Woods, the first athlete to pass $1 billion in earnings, will be back to competitive golf, and we’ll sure miss him at the start of 2010 season. But his priorities at the moment are to put his life back together and we wish him the best.
