The second round of the U.S. Open came to conclusion at 3.30pm on Saturday,almost 24 hours later than expected.The heavy rains drowned the course on Thursday morning and play was suspended just after 10am until Friday.

It has been a difficult start on Thursday as play was suspended after three hours due to heavy rains and didn’t resume until friday morning. At 5pm ET the first round is finally in the books and it is no surprise that the players at the top of the leaderboard after 18 holes all iniciated their first round on Friday with very good weather conditions.

BETHPAGE BLACK COURSE
The 60 players who made the cut finished the third round of the U.S. Open just before 5pm ET.After three hectic days due to heavy rains the play went smoothly today without further delays. The course was soggy,it rained during Saturday evening and the best part of the night,but the maintenance crew (extended to almost 200 people) did a fantastic job to make it playable.The occasional ball plugged here and there,nothing really serious.
