Montreal Canadiens Face-off Against an Emotionally Spent Philadelphia Flyers Team
St. Louis Sings The Blues When They Face-off Against The Colorado AvalancheThe Philadelphia Flyers game against the Chicago Blackhawks is a rematch of the Stanley Cup Finals from a year ago. Regardless of the outcome, the Flyers will have to get ready for their next game against the Canadiens.

The Flyers will only have one day between games to prepare for the upcoming game with the Montreal Candiens. The Flyers will be emotional for the game against the Blackhawks since it is a rematch of the Stanley Cup Finals, but are downplaying it since this is a much different team from a year ago.

Here are some of the changes that the Flyers have made. Since then the Flyers have replaced forwards Simon Gagne, Arron Asham and Ian Laperriere with Nik Zherdev, Jody Shelley and Andreas Nodl. They've replaced defensemen Lukas Krajicek and Oskars Bartulis with Andrej Meszaros and Sean O'Donnell. And they've replaced goaltender Michael Leighton with Sergei Bobrovsky, and have a different look and feel to this Flyers team.

The Candiens will be trying to regroup after a tough loss to the Anaheim Ducks.Bobby Ryan scored in the shootout, Jonas Hiller stopped all three Montreal shooters and Anaheim recovered for a 4-3 victory over the Canadiens. This is a letdown for Montreal who scored late to bring the game into extra frames. Montreal’s Max Pacioretty scored his second power-play goal of the game with 12.6 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime. However Montreal could not ride the momentum and were sent packing as losers.

The Canadiens will have a winning record in the month of January, but a win over the Flyers would help them in the standings. The Flyers are playing excellent hockey right now, but are in a tough spot for the game against Montreal.

The Flyers come out flat and the Canadiens emerge victorious.
