The Ottawa Senators Look For a Goalie Change When They Play Against The Edmonton Oilers
The Ottawa Senators Look For a Goalie Change When They Play Against The Edmonton OilersThe Ottawa Senators will do anything to win and desperate times call for desperate measures. When the Senators lace up against the Edmonton Oilers they will look to change things up between the pipes.

The best online sportsbook to bet on the NHL is BetPhoenix. They offer great wagering opportunities on every game on the schedule.

Coach Cory Clouston is on the hot-seat and Ottawa and being criticized for the way that he handles the goalie situation. He is going to use an alternating system with his goalies for the foreseeable future.

The fans are clamoring for Robin Lehner, a talented 19-year-old prospect who could see some playing time with the open completion that is being encouraged by the coach.

Clouston is hoping that between Lehner and Brian Elliott one of them would stand up and stake claim to the No. 1 spot with the way they will play between the pipes.

Lehner took a positive step in that direction against the Flames in his last outing. He stopped 15 of 16 shots in the opening period, using some acrobatic brilliance to give his team a 2-1 lead into the intermission. As usual the Senators could not hold that lead and now, with an 11-game losing streak and having dropped 17 of their last 18, Elliot will get a shot in net against the Oilers.

The Oilers will need to get off to a fast start if they hope to win against the lowly Sens. In the last outing the Oilers got off to an even slower start than they usually do, falling behind 18-5 on the in shots and their sluggish play led to six straight penalties, putting them further on their heels all night.

They could not recover, but against the Senators will have a decided advantage. The Senators should keep struggling until Clouston is run out of town.
