The last meeting between the two teams produced controversy when Boston defenseman Zdeno Chara ran Max Pacioretty into a stanchion and the Montreal player suffered a concussion and a cracked vertebra. Chara received a major penalty and a game misconduct but there was outrage in Montreal when the NHL decided not to suspend Chara. As they prepare for that game against the Bruins, Montreal will get beat by Buffalo, who will be more focused. The Canadiens are 3-7 in their last 10 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game and the Sabres is 4-1 in their last 5 when their opponent scores 5 goals or more in their previous game.
