The Rivalry Continues as the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens Face Off
The Rivalry Continues as the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens Face OffThe Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens have a long history of not liking one another, and this year it showed on the ice as the teams played physical hockey.Things expect to get a bit tougher as the two clubs square off in the playoffs.

Bet Phoenix is the best place to wager on NHL playoff hockey. From round one to the Stanley Cup, Bet Phoenix has all of the great wagering opportunities and NHL Odds for the playoffs.

This game could be decided between the pipers and that will be interesting to wach. Setting an NHL record with his .938 save percentage, Tim Thomas also posted a league-low 2.00 goals-against average, marking the third straight season that a Boston netminder topped the league in that department. Thomas enters the playoffs on a high, going 6-1-1 with a 1.48 GAA and two shutouts in his last eight games. He's tied with Hall of Famer Gerry Cheevers for fourth on Boston's all-time shutout list with 26. Montreal counters with Carey Price.

Last year, Carey Price sat and watched the playoff heroics of Jaroslav Halak, but this season, he's been a front-and-center star. Price played a club-record 72 games and his 38 wins were the most by a Canadiens netminder since Ken Dryden won 41 in 1976-77. Price also hung up eight shutouts. He was voted Montreal's top player in five of six months during the season.

The Bruins are a big, rough team, exactly the kind of squad that Montreal struggles the most against. This is not a good matchup for the Canadiens.

Prediction: Boston in 6No team in the NHL may be as deep up front as the Flyers, who suit up two 30-goal scorers (Jeff Carter 36, Danny Briere 34) and four others with at least 20 (Claude Giroux 25, Mike Richards 24, Scott Hartnell 23, James Van Riemsdyk 21). Giroux's 51 assists this season were the most by a Philly forward since Peter Forsberg garnered 56 in 2005-06. He was among four Flyers who topped the 60-point plateau.

The Bruins are 10-1 in their last 11 games playing on 3 or more days rest and they get a win in game one of the series.
