The Philadelphia Flyers Look To Even the Series against the Boston Bruins
The Philadelphia Flyers Look To Even the Series against the Boston BruinsThe Boston bruins demolished the Philadelphia Flyers in Game one of the series and now the Flyers have to try and even the series..

Bet Phoenix is the best place to wager on NHL playoff hockey. From round one to the Stanley Cup, Bet Phoenix has all of the great wagering opportunities and NHL Odds for the playoffs.

David Krejci, who missed the last four games of last year's series with the Flyers with a broken wrist, set the tone Saturday, and the Bruins never trailed in the opener of Round 2.

The Flyers did tie the game 1-1, but the Bruins took over from there and ran Philly out of its own building. Linemate Nathan Horton scored once, Brad Marchand had two goals and an assist, Patrice Bergeron registered three assists, and Mark Recchi and Gregory Campbell also scored.

After what happened last year, it's hard for the Bruins or their fans to get too excited over Saturday's blasting of the Flyers in the first game of the Eastern Conference semifinals. After all, Boston beat Philadelphia three consecutive times to start last year's series, then became the third team in NHL history to blow a 3-0 series lead and lose in seven games.

"What happened in the past is in the past," right wing Nathan Horton said. "There's been a lot of talk about it, for sure, so we just wanted to come out and show everyone that this is the series that matters to us now."

But all that aside, there was a lot for the Bruins to hang their helmets on in this win. And nothing is quite as important as Game 1 being the day the club's top line finally arrived in the playoffs.

Oh, sure, Nathan Horton scored overtime goals to win Games 5 and 7 against Montreal. But his center, David Krejci, and his left wing, Milan Lucic, totaled three points, all assists, between them.

All that changed Saturday, and that could make the sixth-seeded Bruins very scary in this series against the second-seeded Flyers. Krejci had two goals and two assists, and Horton a goal and an assist in the opening road win. Game 2 in Monday night in Philadelphia.

This momentum will be hard to stop as the Flyers come out flat in game two and lose again to the Boston Bruins.
