Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks Game Seven Predictions: One Game To Decide It All
Boston Bruins vs. Vancouver Canucks Game Seven Predictions: One Game To Decide It AllIn game six the Boston Bruins continued to dominate at home against Vancouver. The Canucks goalie Robert Luongo was pulled in the first period after surrendering three ugly goals. This on the day after Luongo insulted Bruins goalie Tim Thomas. Although Thomas did not admit it publically, the comments irritated Thomas and he wanted to show up Luongo in this home game. Brad Marchand got things started for the Bruins early but they were far from done.

Later in the first period the Bruins also got goals from Milan Lucic, Andrew Ference, and Michael Ryder. Now with the series shifting to Vancouver, will Luongo get the start?

Luongo has played exceptionally at home in the Stanley Cup Finals and the NHL odds will have the home team favored in this contest. There is no reason to believe that Luongo will get benched. Luongo played very well at home after his last poor performance on the road so he should get the nod between the pipes.

He brought the Canucks to the Finals and with his better play at home; he will face off against Thomas one more time.

So many questions that need to be answered as game seven nears closer. Will Luongo rebound from the awful game six performance? Will the Bruins win on the road?

Betting hockey online is very popular in the Stanley Cup Finals and the sports betting trends reveal some interesting angles. For the Bruins Wednesday seems to have been a magical day during the season as they are 21-6 in their last 27 Wednesday games. The Bruins are 10-3 in their last 13 games playing on one day’s rest, but the Canucks have some betting trends in their favor as well.

The Canucks are 38-16 in their last 54 vs. a team with a winning record, 32-15 in their last 47 against the Eastern Conference, and 40-17 in their last 57 overall.

This is it. It all comes down to game seven. The winner will receive the most famous trophy in all of sports in Lord Stanley’s Cup. The loser will have a long season to think about what could have been. So who will win?

The Boston Bruins will have the edge in net with the Tim Thomas. Win or lose Thomas is deserving of the Conn Smythe Trophy, which signifies the MVP in the NHL Playoffs. Thomas could very easily walk away with the Vezina Trophy which is awarded to the best goalie in the NHL for 2011, but all he really wants is to walk away with the Stanley Cup.

Thomas excels in spots like this and Luongo enters game seven uncertain after a drubbing in game six. Unlike any other game in Boston prior to game six, Luongo had a chance to clinch the Stanley Cup and instead he fell flat and that will play games with his head.

The Bruins will score early and that will take the crowd and Luongo out of the game. The end result will be the first road victory and the Stanley Cup for the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins have plenty of veterans that will shine in the big game and bring the trophy back to Boston.
