| The Montreal Canadiens Look To win at Phoenix |
The latest NHL odds and wagering options for betting on hockey can be found at top rated online sportsbook, Bet Phoenix. This is the first and only game between these teams. They last played more than a year ago at the Bell Centre in Montreal. On Oct. 25, 2010, Andrei Kostitsyn scored the overtime winner as the Canadiens topped Phoenix, 3-2. The Canadiens have been a team prone to runs, losing two straight following a four-game win streak that calmed the nerves of their hockey-mad home. Meanwhile, the Coyotes have quietly and efficiently put together a run that has helped them keep pace in the ultra-competitive Pacific Division. A recent four-game win streak following the firing of assistant coach Perry Pearn helped the Canadiens get back to the .500 mark, at least temporarily halting the calls for coach Jacques Martin's job. But consecutive closely-contested losses have undone some of that momentum. Following a hard-fought 5-3 loss in New York against the Rangers, Montreal hosted a hot Oilers team on Tuesday. That evening, Tom Gilbert's goal with 3:32 remaining in the third period gave Edmonton a seemingly insurmountable 2-0 lead. But Max Pacioretty scored just 22 seconds later, giving the Canadiens new life. Despite outshooting the Oilers 12-4 in the third and 29-14 overall, Ryan Smyth put the game away with an empty-netter to hand Edmonton a 3-1 win. Winners of four of their last five, Phoenix has ridden some hot goaltending and timely scoring to a strong start. The Coyotes split the first two games of a three-game homestand that they'll finish against Montreal before embarking on a season-long five-game road swing. After being shut out 3-0 by the Predators on Thursday, the Coyotes hosted the upstart Oilers on Saturday. That night, Daymond Langkow and Adrian Aucoin opened the scoring in the second period and Mike Smith made 24 saves to hold the fort and preserve a 4-2 win. The Oilers cut the Phoenix lead to 2-1 and 3-2 in the third period before Ray Whitney sealed the deal with an empty-net goal. Whitney, Boyd Gordon, and Radim Vrbata paced the Phoenix attack with two points each. Phoenix may have a very good chance of taking down Montreal and continuing their slide.

The Montreal Canadiens really need to win and a trip to desert might just do that trick.
