The Mets and Cards come into this game heading in much different directions as NY has won only three of their last 10 games and ST Louis continues to lead their division and has been playing much better baseball over the last month. The Mets send their ace in Johan Santana to the bump in a key spot for them as they are not only on national TV , but need a win bad as they continue to slip further down in the NL East.

The Mets started off the series strong with an 8-2 win over the Cards on Tuesday night and will look to keep the momentum going and will look for players like Carlos Beltran who was key last night in the win and David Wright to continue their offensive prowess. The Cards send Jaime Garcia to the mound who has been solid so far this season with nine wins and 2.21 ERA.

4.2 DONOVAN'S ON THE NY- The Mets know this is one of the most important series of the season for them and will play that way behind Santana. Look for the Mets to take an early lead and never look back
