Monday Night Football Preview Giants VS Jets
Monday Night Football Preview Giants VS JetsNEW YORK GIANTS AT NEW YORK JETS 8PM EST TV ESPN

CURRENT BETPHOENIX.COM LINE IN BOLD (JETS -3 TOTAL 33)

It may only be week one of the preseason, but whenever these two teams meet the intensity feels like a playoff game. Add the fact that the new $1.6 billion Meadowlands stadium complex is hosting its first football game and you have all the ingredients for a lot of fun on Monday night. The Jets come into the season as one of the favorites to win the AFC after coming oh so close to a Super Bowl berth last season. The Giants have a lot more questions coming into 2010 as they had a disappointing end to their campaign last year and will be looking to regain the championship form they had in winning Super Bowl XLII.

Tonight we won't see much of G-men signal caller Eli Manning or Jets QB Mark “Dirty” Sanchez, but many of the offensive rookies the two teams have will get a lot of playing time and should prove to add a lot of excitement. Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson will see his first action after coming over as a free agent from the Chargers and should see at least 5- 6 carries. New Giants backup QB Jim Sorgi should see significant time as well and after years of backing up Peyton Manning will relish the opportunity to play in front of 82,000 plus .

PREDICTION(BASED ON A 1-5 DUSTIN JOHNSON RULES VIOLATION SCALE)

4.6 JOHNSON’S ON THE G-MEN- Even though it’s technically a home game for the Jets its more spilt down the middle than anything so crowd noise will not be a factor and the Giants just seem to have a lot more questions to answer in this game and that will translate into the win as it often does in the preseason.
