| Thursday College Football Throwdown Preview |
BY DAN THE MAN LEACH HOST SPORTS EDGE RADIO SHOW The Big 12 takes center stage for the second Thursday in a row as a Nebraska team that feels it can win a national title invade Manhattan, Kansas to take on a Jekyll and Hyde Kansas State team. The Wildcats may be 4-0 just like the Huskers , but their route there has been very different. You could say that K-State has played better and has played the better teams with wins over UCLA and Iowa State, but at times have looked very young. QB Carson “City” Coffman has been solid and should give the Wildcats a chance to win. Nebraska has played three cream puffs and one underachieving Pac-10 squad and struggled against South Dakota State. Taylor Martinez has played inconsistently at QB, but has the makings to be a great one in Lincoln. The “Red Shirt” defense has been solid as always and will be a major factor in whether the Huskers can control this game. This is a major statement game for Nebraska to go on the road and win convincingly at an undefeated conference opponent. PREDICTION(BASED ON A 1-10 NEW PLANET “GOLDILOCKS” COLONIZATION SCALE) 7.4 COLONIES ON NEBRASKA - Nebraska has looked very lackluster at times and will use the national stage to show the country and more importantly the voters that they are a legit national championship contender. This game could be out of hand by the second quarter if the Wildcats do not get off to a good start.
