BY DAN THE MAN LEACH HOST SPORTS EDGE RADIO SHOW It seems like yesterday that the Niners were so far out of the playoff chase and seemingly on their way to a top 3 draft pick at worst. That is what makes the fact that the Niners with a win here have a serious chance and not only making the playoffs, BUT WINNING THEIR DIVISION! That’s right the team that started 0-5 and could do nothing right has an outside shot to win their division in what many feel could end up being the weakest division champ since the Nixon administration. On the other side of the ball you have the Super Chargers, who looked dead themselves a few weeks back , but now find themselves in a race for their division if they can continue to win. Those subplots and so much more is what makes this by far the most intriguing of the Thursday NFL games so far this season. What team that shows up on either side is the $25,000 question here as both the Chargers and the Niners have looked awful at times this season and now are part of a game where there is little or no margin for error. That makes the team that wins this game the legitimate playoff contender and the loser basically out of contention. Niners coach Mike Singletary has stuck with once bitten , but twice shy QB Troy Smith as both head coach and QB are in essence fighting for their careers. Chargers QB Phillip "Little Rivers" Band is fighting for relevance in his own right as he has had a great season overall, but once again finds his team that was supposed to be a true Super Bowl contender fighting for their playoff lives. This game will be truly fun to watch and I expect both teams to have left it all on the proverbial field turf when the final whistle blows PREDICTION(BASED ON A 1-10 TRON LEGACY 3D MIDNIGHT PREMIERE TICKETS SCALE) 7.4 TIX ON SAN FRAN-It would be a little crazy to think that the Niners could actually win this game outright against a team that has been so tough late in the season in recent years. But then who are we kidding when a five win team, still is alive in their division in week 15. Bottom line anything can happen in this one and it is hard to see it not being at least within one score at the end with the way the Niners defense is capable of playing.
