| Sugar Bowl Preview |
BY DAN THE MAN LEACH HOST SPORTS EDGE RADIO SHOW Say what you will on whether or not the ill-fated Buckeyes player's including star QB Terrelle Pryor should be playing at all in this bowl game after the recent Tattoo-Gate controversy, the scandal alone has definitely hurt OSU’s focus. Personally I still can’t for the life of me understand why the cheating Buckeye players have the option to play in the first place, but that’s a five page article for another day. Lost in much of this is the fact that Ohio State, while having a nice season at 11-1, really hasn't been truly spectacular other than piling up a huge wins total. At times Arkansas and their former Big Ten QB, Michigan transfer Ryan Mallett has. Now the Hogs will get to take out all the frustration of playing second fiddle to an off-the-field story during the build up to this game and they will in a major way. Arkansas quietly has had one of the best seasons in program history and is looking at an upset of the sixth ranked Buckeyes as a way to really announce their arrival on the national stage. This game sets up perfectly for the Razorbacks as they have the defense that can slow down the Buckeyes high powered offense and can score points with the best in the land averaging almost 38 points per game. PREDICTION(BASED ON A 1-10 NEW YEARS BABY RATTLER SCALE) 7.4 RATTLER’S ON THE RAZORBACKS- Look for Arkansas to set the tempo early and show Ohio State that they are intimated at all. Ryan Mallett is going to have an other worldly type of game and I would not be surprised if he sets some Sugar Bowl passing records against what many feel is a overrated Bucks secondary. Terrelle “Richard” Pryor is going to struggle against the fierce Arkansas front seven throughout and I would not be surprised if he looked like his mind was someplace else after all he has gone through in recent weeks off the field. All of this sets up for a signature win for the Razorbacks program and a lot of questions for the Buckeyes during the off season. Tags:
