BY DAN THE MAN LEACH HOST SPORTS EDGE RADIO SHOW Many might not have had the Mavs and the Thunder playing for the right to go to the NBA Finals, but boy is it the right series. Both teams have played phenomenal basketball over the past month and both teams beat their second round opponents in different , but impressive ways. The Mavs absolutely destroyed and humiliated the two-time defending NBA Champion Lakers in a four game sweep. The Thunder got by one of the more surprising 8 seed’s in recent memory, beating the tough Memphis Grizzlies in game seven over the weekend. Now these two teams with similar styles and rabid home crowds face off in what should be a tremendous series. Winning game one will be key for the Dirk and the Mavs as they do not want to give back the home court advantage they fought so hard to gain with their solid end to the regular season. The Thunder will be looking to get Durant and Westbrook going early and often and try to steal the opening game after a long layoff for Dallas. PREDICTION(BASED ON A 1-10 JORGE POSADA INFLATABLE JACKASS SCALE ) 7.4 POSADA JACKASSES ON THE THUNDER +6- You have to take into account that the Thunder played three more games then the Mavs in the last round and have had little time to rest to get ready for game one. That being said the Thunder will keep this game close , mainly at times on just adrenaline. In the end though the Mavs will be too tough to lose game one at home, but this game will likely go down to the wire and could be a last possession type of a game as both teams feel each other out in what should be one of the more exciting Western Conference Finals in recent memory.
