The Mariners are coming off one of the weirdest weekend series in recent history as they were the road team at home when they played the Florida Marlins over the weekend in Seattle. The strange and trippy happenings were the result of the biggest band in the World “U2” playing a concert at the Marlins stadium this week, which sent them on the road to play a home series in an AL park. I was at the U2 show in East Lansing , Michigan over the weekend and believe you me the trouble for the Marlins was worth it for the fans that will see the show. Back to the game though:) as the Braves have been heating up as of late and send Tommy Hanson to the mound with his 8-4 record and a 2.48 ERA that is third best in the NL. He hasn't pitched since June 12th due to right shoulder tendonitis, so there could be a little rust. He faces off against early AL Rookie of the year candidate Michael Pineda who is 7-4 with a 2.45 ERA over his first 15 MLB starts with 12 of them being quality starts. PREDICTION(BASED ON A 1-10 TRANSFORMERS “DARK OF THE MOON” HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS SCALE ) 7.4 HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS ON THE MARINERS- Seattle will enjoy actually playing at home as the home team and they seem to have an extra pep in their step when Pineda pitches, especially at home. This should be a tight game throughout , with the value definitely on the Mariners.
