The Rays and the Red Sox are both looking up at the AL East leading New York Yankees , but are both within reach of making the postseason one way or another with a strong start to the second half. The pitching matchup is one to get excited about as the Sox send former Tigers and Marlins flameout Andrew Miller to the mound. Miller has been simply sensational since his insertion into the Red Sox rotation, winning his last three starts and looking impressive doing so. The Rays send their ace David “ The “Price” is Right to the hill and Price has been heating up as of late and now has eight wins on the year and is looking more and more like the dominant pitcher he has been over the past couple of seasons. The Sox bats have been the story though so far this year with former Padres star Adrian Gonzalez earning his huge contract and leading the team in RBI(77), average(.354), and runs(64) scored. The Rays have had their own power in the lineup as well with surprise Matt Joyce coming up with clutch hits and a 290. Average and B.J Upton leading the team in HR’s(15), and RBI(50). PREDICTION(BASED ON A 1-10 HARRY POTTER 3-D GARDEN PARTY SCALE ) 7.4 GARDEN PARTIES ON THE RAYS- Both these teams have been on fire as of late ad this could be one of the better series you will see in the first month of the second half of the season. Runs should be at a premium with Miller and Price on the mound and this game will come down to a late inning clutch hit or long ball and the Rays seem to have a lock on those at home.
