On the Fringe(putting for birdie)-QB-Jeremiah Masoli, Jr. Oregon +$550 This Week: At Stanford Last Week: 19-of-31 for 222 yards and one TD, and he ran 13 times for 164 yards and a score in the statement win over USC. Heisman voters love a player with momentum at the end of the season and no other player has come on stronger from off the radar over the past month than Masoli. He was choice in the huge win over USC and is showing the nation why the Ducks are a much better team cause he is their QB. Can’t afford a letdown game against Stanford this week, but if he comes out strong again this weekend he is not only in the discussion , but could be headed to New York with and outside chance to win this thing 5-QB Tim Tebow, Sr. Florida +$500 This Week: Home vs Vanderbilt Last Week: 15-of-21 for 164 yards and two TD‘s and he ran 18 times for 85 yards and two TD’s in the win over UGA. Tebow is still in the top five, but barely. Music to many people ears to say the least, but his name alone keep him alive in this race and he is playing just good enough to be in the discussion. He had a nice game against Georgia this past weekend , but will need monster games the rest of the way if he wants to go to NY for the third straight year. 4-QB Case Keenum, Sr. Houston +$350 This Week: At Tulsa Last Week: 44-of-54 for 559 yards and five touchdowns with an INT in the win over Southern Miss . Keenum continues to put up absurd numbers and if this award was based solely on stats , he would have already been declared the winner. The one thing going against Keenum is the fact that Houston plays a pretty soft schedule and it will take a lot of things to fall his way for him to win this award outright. A couple more big games for him though and he should be a lock as a finalist. 3-QB Jimmy Clausen, Jr. Notre Dame +$325 This Week: Home vs. Navy Last Week: 22-of-27 for 268 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the San Antonio Spurs, sorry Wash State in San Antonio . Clausen hasn't been lights out the past few weeks, but has been steady enough to keep him in the top three. His top WR Golden Tate is coming on stronger that Clausen in many ways , but Clausen will always be the one throwing the ball and that automatically puts Clausen in a better position as I just can’t see two WR’s being finalists this year with the superb play of Bama’s Mark Ingram gaining a ton of national attention. More so there is no way there will be two Irish players in New York and even with his recent lack of luster, Clausen is still a darling of Heisman voters. He needs to look sharp this week against a decent Navy team to stay ion the top three. 2-QB Colt McCoy, Sr. Texas +$250 This Week: Home vs Central Florida Last Week: 16-of-21 passes for 171 yards and one touchdown in the win over Oklahoma State McCoy didn’t have a eye popping day by any stretch of the imagination against a depleted Oklahoma State squad, but did enough to control the game and win on the road in an always tough place to do so. He will have a chance to pad his stats against UCF this week and next week at Baylor and still in my opinion is the best QB in the country. 1-WR Mark Ingram, Alabama +$200 This Week: Home vs #9 LSU Last Week: Idle Even without playing last week Ingram vaulted into the top spot over Mccoy as his overall body of work is the most impressive so far this season and he is playing on a team that in my opinion is going to play for the national title. Is he the best player in college football? Maybe not, but he is playing the best to this point and like it or not Heisman voters love a top player on a top team. If he has a huge day at LSU this week
