Wsop Poker Final Table Odds Preview
081114-ufc91lesnarvscoutureIt took nine grueling days of play to bring this year's WSOP down from a field of over 6400 participants to just two remaining players. Heads up action is about to be under way and the whole poker community will sit and watch as David takes on Goliath..or the logger takes on the brash young pro. Joe Cada, a young pro from metro Detroit Michigan will battle Darvin Moon, the self proclaimed "luckiest player in Las Vegas" from Oakland.
Weather it was luck or skill that brought them here, it's who wins the 8.5 million dollar first place prize that will determine who brought the right set of tools to the biggest poker game on the planet. Although both players have been graced by the presence of lady luck, Darvin Moon has undoubtedly held onto her the longest, living every poker players dream by showing up to the most prestige's tournament of the year and getting hit by a deck so hot it has allowed him to send some of the biggest names in the game to the rail. But, can the luckiest man in Vegas hold on to lady luck long enough to overcome a huge chip disadvantage and the determination of skilled youth? This poker enthusiast says no. Can Joe Cada not only take the title of 2009 WSOP champion, but the title of the youngest player to ever achieve it? You can bet on it!

Subsequently, the main event bracelet has been given to luckier players in the past like Jamie Gold (who has done nothing for poker since sleeping with angles during his WSOP win). But unlike gold, Darvin Moon has to face an opponent with a deadly combination of running just as hot and with far greater skill. Hopefully this simple man isn't going in with a simple plan! Joe Cada is a professional poker player, which means playing poker is just another day at the office. The only part of heads of play that will work against Joe is being in front of cameras on national television, all the bright lights shining, and the roar of the excited spectators that fill the seats in the Penn and Teller theatre at the Rio. However, if that is out of Joe's element, than Mr. Moon will feel like he's actually on the moon! Darvin Moon is a logger from Oakland who hasn't logged nearly as many hours on the felt as Joe Cada. Darvin has repeatedly said if he has to start playing actual poker than he's in serious trouble, and he is right! Heads up play is a whole new ball game and this poker nut doesn't think Mr. Moon will be able to adjust to the differences that come from not only being seriously behind, but the change of pace and skill set that come with heads up play.

I put Joe as a 3 to 1 favorite to take the coveted main event bracelet and the title of the youngest main event winner in history. The poker community is buzzing with anticipation as these two, already multi millionaires, take stage to battle for more piles of cash and the chance to have their face beside names like Doyle "Texas Dolly" Brunson, Johnny Chan, and Stu "The kid" Unger. Tune in tonight as poker history unfolds and a new face is crowned main event champion. Let's shuffle up and Deal!!!
