What a game we have to start off championship Sunday. Can the Jets pull of the minor miracle and get to the Super Bowl, can Peyton and company beat a team that ended their chance at a perfect season and have a chance at their 2nd title in the past five years? This game has all the intrigue and makings of a classic and add in Jets rookie QB Mark “Dirty” Sanchez to the mix and what a win for him would do in the annuls of NFL history and we are set for a fun afternoon in Indy. The Jets ended Indy’s chance at 16-0 albeit it with the Colts playing primarily backups in the second half, but that game gave the Jets major confidence and in essence got them into the playoffs. The Jets D has taken it from there ever since and at times has looked like one of the great NFL playoff defense in recent memory. Not since the Ravens won the title in 2000 as a defense looked this dominant and given a team with a decent, but by now means great offense a chance at winning it all. The Colts still have a ton of firepower on offense as they always do and with Peyton Manning under center you are likely always going to be a favorite to win. This game though is going to come down to the ability of Manning to wear down and break down a Jets D that gave San Diego, one of the best offenses in the league, their biggest fits in years. Jets CB Darelle Revis will be covering WR Reggie Wayne and shut him down earlier in the year when these teams played, so the owness will likely be on TE Dallas “Cowgirls” Clark to be on the receiving end of big time Manning passes. The truth of the matter though is the Jets are probably the better team right now mainly cause of how good their defense is playing and that is the ultimate equalizer on the road. The Jets run game, tops in the NFL, is the the other key as if they can work the clock like they did in San Diego, especially with a lead and not make huge mistakes, it will be very tough for Indy to play their style of game. It by no means will be easy, but the Jets are going to shock the world once again and head to Miami as one of the biggest Super Bowl surprises in NFL History.
