Don’t look now but Denver is good enough to win the West and would love to make another statement by winning at the East’s best in Cleveland tonight. The Nuggets shocked the Lakers in LA right before the All Star break and now they will look to keep Hebron James and his merrymen in check . The Nuggets led by Chauncy Billups and Carmelo “should have been a Piston” Anthony have been scoring in bunches and the D as improved in recent weeks as well. The Cavs though just added another toy for Lebron to play with by getting Antwan Jamison at the trade deadline which could give the Cavs a little rhythm problem over the next couple of games so look for Denver to stay close throughout and maybe even steal this one in C town.

Prediction- (1-5 can of hot soup scale) 3.5 cans on DENVER

BOSTON CELTICS AT LOS ANGELES LAKERS TNT 10:35 PM EST( LAKERS -4 TOTAL 189.5)

The Celts invade Hollywood with a ton of confidence and get to face the Lake Show without Kobe. The question is whether that is a good or bad thing as the Lakers have played great without Kobe over the last four games and he is very doubtful to play again tonight with the ankle injury still bothering him. LA barely got by Boston in their last meeting on Jan. 31st in Beantown and needed a Bryant shot over Ray Allen in the waning seconds to do so. Without Kobe the Lakers might be playing well , but against Boston they really need him as the Celts have so many weapons offensively and are going to score points so it will be up to the much improved Shannon Brown and big men Ron Artest and Pau Gasol to make up for Bryant's absence.
