COACHING BUTLER-Brad Stevens may look like he is a teenager, but he coaches like he has ben doing it for decades. Since taking over the team three years ago Butler has been one of the winingest and most consistent teams in the country and enters this game on a 24 game winning streak. His players truly believe in the system he has created for them and play their hearts out for him. He might not have the experience of a coach K or Roy Williams, but with each win in the NCAA tournament he is getting a step closer. DUKE-Coach K is simply one of the best to ever put on a suit and coach college basketball. If he wins this game he will gain his fourth national championship and further cement his legacy as one of the game all-time greats. He has been at Duke for over 30 years and has turned down numerous NBA and elite college jobs to stay there , which in this day and age is a true testament to his character. Character that his teams embody and this years squad is no different as whenever adversity has hit they pushed thru it and found a way to win. EDGE-DUKE PREDICTION- This game will be a lot closer than the experts think and will come down to whether Butler is able to throw a wrench in Duke’s Big Three and their ability to take over or whether the Blue Devils start with a flurry and never slow down. The first six to eight minuets of this game are going to be key as Butler has to get off to a good start and let Duke know they came to win and nit just be happy they made the title game. Butler has the better overall team defense and if they can impose it from the start they can keep this game close and put the pressure on Duke to score in late-clock situations. Hayward and Mack are going to have big games for Butler and are going to have to establish the low post of they want to give Duke some pause. At least two of the big three for Duke are going to have big games which means that a player like Lance Thomas once again could be the X-factor. I think this will be a single digit game most of the way with some Duke runs maybe pushing it past 10 at times, but late in the game look for Butler to clamp down and make a passionate run to win this. I would love to say I think they can pull it off, but I feel Duke will just be too much in the end with their depth and ability to nail threes. This will be an amazing end to a historic basketball season with the Blue Devils cutting down the nest in Indy. DUKE 70 Butler 65
