This is absolutely not the position that the Sharks thought they would be in after two games in this series, after what they were able to do against the defending Western Conference champ Red Wings in the last round. The Sharks basically have to win this game and possibly even game four as well if they want to have a chance in this series. The Hawks have basically been playing out of their minds in winning both games at the tough Shark Tank and it really hasn't mattered what kind of game plan San Jose has thrown at them, it just isn't working. Tonight will be key early as the Sharks have played better on the road at times then at home this playoff season when the pressure has seemingly been a little lower, but they will need a huge start to this game and much better goaltending from Evengi Nabakov, who at times thus far in this series has looked mediocre at best. Joe Pavelski who looked like Wayne Gretzky against Detroit, has be mostly a non-factor and their other Joe, Sakic hasn't gotten off yet either. This is like a game seven for San Jose and I expect them to come out fighting from the opening drop and should find a way to get one game closer in this series with a masterful road performance tonight.
