And..here….we…go!! The NBA Finals have arrived and the Joker will be in the building, is he alive or did he fall off that building at the end of the "Dark Knight" and we just didn't get to see it? Is Kobe the best player of his generation or is Jesus Shuttlesworth going to find a way to show he’s the best actor to ever play basketball? Is Paul Gasoft really soft or is Kevin Garnett just really hard and on steroids? Is Andrew “Bynum and Bailey” going to actually look like a basketball player in this series or is Paul “The Truth” Pierce going to host his own WWE Grape Soda Reality Show? Over the next couple of days I am going to break down the series from all angles and let you know who will be celebrating with the coveted Larry O'Brien trophy when all is said and done. This is the 12th meeting for the NBA title between the leagues two most storied franchises and should end up being another classic. Will the Lakers get revenge for the 08’ beat down at the hands of the Celts or Boston prove once again that the luck of the Irish is something never to be underestimated, much like the force in the "Star Wars" saga. OFFENSE- BOSTON-What can I say about “The Big Three“…blind mice that is…….I kid cause I can, but where would the Celts be without the inspired play this playoff season of KG, The Truth, and Jesus Shuttlesworth. Yes Rajon Rondo has become a emerging star , but the points have come from the aforementioned Three Amigos and if Boston wants to down the Lakers for the second time in three years for the title , all three players are going to have to have a monster series. The Celts have some time to get "Big Baby" Glen Davis and Kendrick “Darth Helmet” Perkins healthier, after getting banged up against the Magic and will need every ounce of their scoring ability to try to steal one of the first two games in La La Land. Rasheed Wallace can give you 20 points, but can also give you 4 points and foul out. Nate "Swiss Family" Robinson could be a secret key for the Celts and you saw the impact he can have on a game as he was a key factor in putting away Orlando with his 13 points in 13 minutes in game six. LOS ANGELES-The Lakers begin, end , and begin again with Kobe Bryant. He simply is the best pure and clutch scorer of this generation and is the main reason the Lakers found their way into the Finals after looking great at the beginning of all three of their playoff series, but then having to scramble eggs to be able to put away the Thunder, Jazz, and Suns respectively. Kobe just knows how to win and hit clutch shots when they are needed most . Now by no means can Kobe win this title offensively by himself , but his ability to basically score 30 points or more every game gives the Lakers a huge advantage. They are going to need to get solid offensive production from Lamar "Kardashian" Odom, who was a key in the Suns series and needs to continue to keep his mind off of large rear ends, as well as D Fish, as when they can score consistently they take a little of the burden off Bean Bryant. If they also can get consistent scoring from Gasoft and Bynum , this series could be over before you can say “Wicked Awesome”. Bottom line the Lakers have Kobe and enough secondary scoring options that if they at least play at a “B” level offensively as a team, it is going to be tough for Boston to match it. EDGE-LAKERS
