And..here….we…go!! The NBA Finals have arrived and the Joker will be in the building, is he alive or did he fall off that building at the end of the Dark Knight and we just didn't get to see it? Is Kobe the best player of his generation or is Jesus Shuttlesworth going to find a way to show he’s the best actor to ever play basketball? Is Paul Gasoft really soft or is Kevin Garnett just really hard and on steroids? Is Andrew “Bynum and Bailey” going to actually look like a basketball player in this series or is Paul “The Truth” Pierce going to host his own WWE Grape Soda Reality Show? Over the next couple of days I am going to break down the series from all angles and let you know who will be celebrating with the coveted Larry O’Brien trophy when all is said and done. This is the 12th meeting for the NBA title between the leagues two most storied franchises and should end up being another classic. Will the Lakers get revenge for the 08’ beatdown at the hands of the Celts or Boston prove once again that the luck of the Irish is something never to be underestimated, much like the force in the Star Wars saga. DEFENSE BOSTON-The Celts have made it this far by beating teams like Cleveland and Orlando with great defense late in games. That will be key in this series as I expect many of these games to come down to the end and blocked shots and steals could prove to be the difference in some of them at the end. Rajon checking D Fish will be key as Fisher is notorious for hitting huge shots late. Jesus Shuttlesworth is going to have to do a masterful job on Kobe, but at least has to slow him down a little and down low it is going to be tough for Kendrick Perkins and Big Bay Davis to stop Gasoft and “Bynum and Bailey” The Celts have a good enough defense to give the Lakers some problems, but are going to have to set the tone early in this series. LOS ANGELES-The Lakers have been scoffed at this season at times for their seemingly lackadaisical effort on D. That has not been apparent during most of this postseason as the defense is what titled the balance again both the Jazz and the Suns as both those teams could score in bunches like the Lakers could. Pau Gasoft has been brilliant in the last five games in blocking shots and really creating trouble down low. D Fish has really been giving opponents guards fits and can steal the ball with the best of them, You know Kobe can play superior defense when he wants to and should be a major defensive factor in this series. The difference for the Lakers will be if both Lamar Kardashian and Bynum can play top level defense because if they do they will have a huge advantage over Boston. EDGE-LAKERS
