It is still sunny in Wimbledon for the Ladies’Final !!

Ladies’ Singles Final

Venus and Serena Williams face each other in a rematch of last year’s Final.Venus is looking for her 6th Title,3 in a row,and Serena for her 3rd total as she hasn’t won since 2003 at The Championships.

Both women held their serve with authority, the only chances of break going to Venus at 4-3 and 15-40.Serena saved the 1st breakpoint with a big serve but Venus missed an easy passing shot on the 2nd to take a 5-3 lead and serve for the set. This shot was the turning point of this first set which went to a tie break.Serena dominated Venus and took a 1-0 lead.

Serena got the first break of the match at 3-2 in the second set when Venus looked very uncomfortable serving with the sun in her face.Serena held at love in the next game to take a 5-2 lead, one game away from her third title.

Venus save 3 championship points on her next serve to finally surrender to her little sister on the 4th one.

Serena Williams was the better player today in the Lagies’Singles Final of The Championships in Wimbledon and wins her third title 7-6,6-2.She now owns eleven Gran Slam Titles.

Serena said at the beginning of the tournament that she should have more than two Wimbledon wins and proved that she was right today denying Venus her third in a row and taking her third Title at The Championships.

The Williams have still some work to do as they will play in the Ladies’Doubles Final later in the day.
