Big upset in Israel!!

Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram gave the third and decisive point in the doubles match to secure a spot in the Semi-Finals of the Davis Cup for the first timeever.They defeated russians Marat Safin-Igor Kunitsyn in a long 5 setter ,3hours 51 minutes, 6-3,6-4,6-7,4-6,6-4.Great victory for Israel who took down the two times Champion of the Davis Cup Russia.They will have to waite for the outcome of Spain vs Germany to know their opponent in the final four.

As expected,in Ostrava,Czech Republic, Tomas Berdych-Radek Stepanek took the second point for their country winning the double 6-1,6-4,6-3 against inexperienced argentinians Leonardo Mayer-Jose Acasuso for a 2 to 1 lead.It is now uphill for the argentinians .

In Croatia the Bryan brothers,Mike and Bob,kept the United States in this QF defeating Roko Karanusic-Lovro Zovko 6-3,6-1,6-3.Tough task though on Sunday for James Blake facing Marin Cilic and Mardy Fish against Ivo Karlovic as the croatians are very confident right now and will be supported by a passionate crowd.
