ATP Rafael Nadal says he will come back for the Rogers Cup in Montreal

Nadal has been off the courts since he lost in Roland Garros in June to Robin Soderling.He has been treated for tendonitis in both knees and is now practicing,feeling pretty good about his form.His return to competition coincides with world # 1 Roger Federer’s who has taken some time off after taking his record 15th Gran Slam title last month in Wimbledon and to spend time with wife Mirka and newly born twin baby girls. It will be great to have the # 1 and 2 players in the world renew the rivalry which produced so many fantastic matches in the last few years.

Andy Murray,Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick are the other logical contenders for the title of the prestigious Canadian Open along with Sam Querry who just won the L.A. Open and the man in form Nicolay Davidenko who took 2 ATP World Tour titles in so many weeks,in Hambourg(ATP 500) and Umag(ATP 250).

All the top players will be at the rendez-vous in Canada,a great week of tennis to come.

This week a strong field is battling in Washington D.C. at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic for a title of ATP 500.
