The Frenchman is through to his second straight semi-final, after reaching the last four at the Australian Open last month. World No 9 Tsonga will face either third seed Gael monfils or eighth seed Julien Benneteau in an all-French semi-final. World No 79 Michael Llodra stunned world No 8 and No 1 seed Sweden’s Robin Soderling 7-6. 6-2. Llodra is one match away to repeat last year’s appearance in the final of the tournament (lost to Tsonga), he’ll meet the winner of Misha Zverev GER) and wild-card Frenchman Guillaume Ruffin QF match.
