There are some very promising matchups, check out the odds and betting lines at BetPhoenix .com Sportsbook. BetPhoenix offers you the best options in Tennis Betting, get started today! World No. 1 and 2005-06 champion Roger Federer, and No. 4 Rafael Nadal lead a group of 14 seeded players, the only unseeded ones left being American Mardy Fish and German Benjamin Becker. World No. 2 Novak Djokovic and No. 3 Andy Murray are the big absent in the remaining draw. They were the victims of the two big upsets of the tournament, losing in their opening round to Olivier Rochus (BEL) and Mardy Fish respectively. Three of the eight encounters particularly draw the attention in this most competitive fourth round in Miami: No. 5 seed Robin Soderling faces No. 9 Fernando Gonzalez. The big-hitting Swede will have his hands full with the Chilian. They are tied at 4-4 all-time,but Soderling’s consistency should ultimately prevail over Gonzalez’s shot-making abilities. Great match to watch. No. 8 Frenchman Jo-Wielfried Tsonga and No. 12 Juan Carlos Ferrero have only met once previously. Tsonga beat the Spaniard in Lyon in 2008, but the 30-year-old Ferrero is playing some of the best tennis of his career, with two titles already under his belt in 2010. Tsonga will have to serve at his best to have a chance to win, while Ferrero has to try to take advantage of the Frenchman’s occasional inconsistency. A tough choice. I’ll take the charismatic Tsonga. No. 7 Croat Marin Cilic will look to break the 2-2 tie in his series with No. 10 Fernando Verdasco. The 21-year-old Cilic is reaching his full potential, I expect him to win against the Spaniard. In the other matchups of this busy day, Federer brings an 8-1 lead against No. 16 Tomas Berdych. Although the World No. 1 struggled to beat Serra 7-6, 7-6 in the third round, he should book a spot in the quarter-finals in this match against the Czech. In an all-Spaniards duel, Nadal faces No. 15 David Ferrer. The World No. 4 and two-time finalist in Miami leads 8-3 life time, but his countryman always seems to make him work hard. Nadal, however, is huge favorite. No. 6 and 2004 champion Andy Roddick has beaten Becker in their three previous meetings. The American, who blazed through his first two rounds will earn a spot in the QFs today. No. 13 Mikhail Youzhny and Mardy Fish have split their two previous encounters. Fish is full of confidence after taking down World No. 4 Murray in the second round, but the Russian is playing great. A small advantage to Youzhny in this matchup. Finally, No. 27 Thomaz Bellucci from Brazil and No. 33 Nicolas Almagro from Spain will square up for the first time ever. It’s a great opportunity for both players to reach the QFs of an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament. The 22-year-old Brazilian is on the rise, I’d like to see what he could do on the later stages of a big event. That’s a great day to get started on Tennis Betting.
