 13-seed Radek Stepanek (CZE) took out one of the favorites to win the title,World No4 Scot Andy Murray,in three sets,1-6,6-3,6-4,for the second gig upset at the BNP Parisbas Masters after Benneteau eliminated Federer on Wednesday.This was Stepanek first victory against Murray in five meetings.

As the players on the bottom half of the draw were in action today Federer looked very impressive dismissing Garcia-Lopez 6-2,6-2,6-4.Roger said “ I am confident and playing great at the moment,but it will get tougher and I look forward for the next match.”His next opponent is #27 Philipp Kohlschreiber who went through his 2nd round in a very tough 5setter (8-6 in the 5th) against the tcheck Ivo Minar

Friday July 3rd 11th day,
It was cloudy in the morning but no sign of rain to disturb the Men’s Semi-Finals.The sun actually showed up half way during the Federer-Haas match.

Friday 26th ,5th day 3rd round,
Men’s Singles
# 2 Roger Federer played flawless tennis taking the first 2 sets 6-2,6-2 from # 27 Philipp Kohlschreiber and starting the 3rd with a break of serve.Then,when it looked like things would be over quickly the german raised his level of play as Federer seemed to lose concentration,maybe because it was too easy.As a result Kohlschreiber took the 3th set in a tiebreak,the first he ever won against the swiss.Federer came back firing in the 4th and ended the match 6-1.
